Situated in a small hamlet at the head of the beautiful Lyth Valley, only 4 miles from the bustling village of Windermere, Bowness with all the water activities of Lake Windermere and the thriving market town of Kendal.

It is an excellent base for walking and for touring the dramatic Lakeland scenery. Other local attractions include art galleries, museums, Beatrix Potter Exhibition, Brewery Arts Centre and historic houses and gardens. Leighton Moss (RSPB), Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle are also nearby.
